The EcoSchools program is growing rapidly across Ontario. It is a certification program for elementary and secondary schools committed to ecological literacy and environmental action. It encourages schools to work within six areas:
- Leadership and Teamwork
- Energy Conservation
- Vibrant School Grounds
- Waste Minimization
- Ecological Literacy
- Contributing to Health and Caring School Communities

EcoSpark's Wattwize program helps teachers and students excel within EcoSchools second area - Energy Conservation - by coaching students through developing and implementing a conservation campaign.
