Who We Are

EcoSpark is an environmental charity connecting people to their local natural environment through education, monitoring and stewardship.

We engage students (grades 6-12), local community members and corporate groups in meaningful environmental work while contributing valuable scientific data to local, regional, national and international environmental research projects.

What are we doing outside?

  1. Water program: Changing Currents

EcoSpark’s water-quality monitoring program engages participants to put on hip waders and explore local streams/rivers, to collect important environmental data to assess watershed health and water quality. This includes identifying aquatic bugs that help indicate water pollution levels. Using the data collected, with our skills staff, participants contribute important data needed for scientific water quality research and land management.
