COVID-19 Update
EcoSpark would like to update you on our response to these uncertain times brought on by COVID-19. EcoSpark is excited to be safely reconnecting with teachers, students, corporate groups and communities. We have been busy updating program materials and lesson plans to provide alternative delivery models and tools to support outdoor education objectives for students whether they are in school full-time, part-time or learning remotely.
EcoSpark is taking all necessary steps to ensure our programs are in line with the Ministry of Health’s guidelines as the province reopens. The well being of participants, staff and the environment is our top priority. Increased safety precautions and protocols such as mandatory PPE (ex. masks) for all participants and staff, social distancing, reduced group sizes, and frequent equipment disinfection between participant's use will be followed during our programming.
EcoSpark is monitoring Ontario’s steps to reopen the province and adjusting our program delivery based on the latest government and health expert recommendations. We are also monitoring the efforts of school boards, schools and partners like the conservation authorities so we can continue offering the best outdoor learning experiences available for students in the GTA.
